M. P. Veerendra Kumar born in 1936 in wayanad. This multi-faceted
myriad minded Social activist was more known for his oratorical
and writing skills. A thinker and politician, MPV ( as
was fondly called by his party men) was associated with
socialist movement was jailed during Emergency days. Was
elected to the State Assembly in 1987. In 1996, he was
elected to the Loka Sabha. He was appointed State Minister
for finance, and was later allocated labours portfolio
with independent charge. His articles on wide-ranging
topics have been published as ‘Collections’ called: Samanwayathinte
Vasantham, Budhante Chiri, Gattum kaana charadukalum,
Ramante Dukkam, Aathmavilekkoru Theertha Yathra, Prathibhayude
Verukal Thedi , Changambuzha: Vidhiyude Veeta Mrugam.
