Born in 1922 at Calicut, P. P. Ummer Koya was a Great
freedom fighter and polititian. As a 'Gandhiyan' his service
was absolutely dedicating.
He completed his school education from Parappil M M High
School and after that he went Guruvayurappan College.
While he was doing BA in Madras Christian College he could
hear the 'call of Nation' and he returned back to serve
his land.
He showed his ability by serving as the Director of Cochin
Shipyard, as the Member of Central Waqaf Board and by
leading several Social Service Organisations.
In 1947 he married a girl named Thithibi and the couple
has two sons. After leaving the live politics he spent
his life to publish the 'Gandhism'. He was not only an
orator but he was a good writer and a good journalist
also.
He got Swadshabhimani Award, Ramasramam Award, P N Panikkar
Foundation Award and Kunhiramakurup Memeorial Award. He
had the interest in sports also. In 2000, at the age of
78, the heart beats of that man stayed to still forever.
