P. T. Usha (also called Payyoli express) is considered to be the best woman athlete India has ever produced. Born in Payyoli, Kozhikode, she became the symbol of Indian sports at international competetions. In the Asian Games in 1986 held at Seoul, out of the five gold medals produced by India, four were credited to P. T. Usha's prowess. Considered to be the Sports queen of India.
